Project Overview

Amazon has over 15k internal corporate events and over 258k site events happening every year. Employees rely on posters, flyers, word of mouth to learn about an event which caused the lacking of awareness & high administrative work. As a solo designer, I designed and launched a 0-1 event and platform across web and mobile, to help 1M+ employees discover and RSVP to events, and admins to create/manage events efficiently, and foster an engaging workplace at Amazon.

Amazon has over 1.5M employees worldwide across diverse backgrounds and industries, offering unique opportunities for career growth and development. However, lack of growth opportunities remains the top reason for leaving the company, with 33.1% of exit surveys citing this as their primary reason.Employees rely on posters, flyers, word of mouth to learn about an event which caused the lacking of awareness & high administrative work. We surveyed over 7k corporate and ops employees alongside 12 deep-dive user interviews to understand the current pain points.

We ran a pilot experience during the peak to validate the solution, surveyed 8k users and conducted 12 usability studies afterwards to collect feedback.
